WHY WE DO IT...

At The Knick, our mission is driven by more than just a love for the game; it is fueled by the personal stories of our board members, participants, and friends. We believe that the most impactful giving happens when there is a direct connection to the cause.

By choosing to support children’s charities with close ties to our own community, we ensure that every dollar raised goes toward organizations we know, trust, and have seen in action. These aren’t just names on a list—they are the foundations that have supported our own families and colleagues through their toughest moments. When you tee off at The Knick, you aren't just supporting "a" charity; you are standing with our board and your fellow golfers to uplift the very programs that have made a difference in our lives.

2026 Beneficiary

At The Knick, we believe the most powerful philanthropy starts at home. When selecting this year’s beneficiary, the choice was clear: Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF).

For some of our board members and long-time participants, Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) isn't just a medical term—it’s a daily reality. Whether it’s a child’s diagnosis, a personal battle, or a teammate’s constant management of the condition, T1D has touched the lives of those within our immediate circle.

DO IT FOR DURRETT

The Do it for Durrett Foundation is focused on raising funds for area working-class families that have been impacted by a sudden loss. The new non-profit was established to provide financial support to the surviving members of the families so that they can try to focus on the day-to-day job of trying to move on without a loved one.

ANN EISEMAN INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND

At times we are able to donate to one-off causes and this one was near and dear to our hearts.  Our co-founder Matthew Paresky, who's son Solomon was born with spina bifida, has had a hard time finding a playground accesible for his wheelchair.  KNICKERS or NOTHIN' stepped up and donated to the Ann Eiseman Inclusive Playground right in Solomon's hometown of Richardson.  Solomon, along with many other kids are now able to enjoy this playground for many years to come!
