WHY WE DO IT...
Over the past few years, KNICKERS or NOTHIN' has taken feedback from our board members and participants. In doing so, we have expanded our donation recipiants to include new deserving organizations.
We are committed to lending a hand, and funds, wherever there is a need.
Below are some of the organizations that we helped out over the past 17 years, and a taste of what is to come.
Please visit back often, as we will update with our plans for the year 2023!
CONQUER
CONQUER or Collaboration on Neuroimmunology: Question, Understand, Educate and Restore at UT Southwestern is a multidisciplinary group that merges clinicians, clinical researchers and basic scientists to tackle a variety of conditions. These conditions share one common theme – they are disorders causing damage to the brain or spinal cord and are caused by dysfunctional immune systems.
BELIEVING FOR BRYLEIGH
An organization close to our hearts, B4B promotes Leukodystrophy awareness and research as well as provides financial assistance to families throughout the USA living with MLD and other Leukodystrophies.
DO IT FOR DURRETT
The Do it for Durrett Foundation is focused on raising funds for area working-class families that have been impacted by a sudden loss. The new non-profit was established to provide financial support to the surviving members of the families so that they can try to focus on the day-to-day job of trying to move on without a loved one.
INCARNATION HOUSE - DALLAS
New for 2020 are our friends over at Incarnation House. Incarnation House prepares homeless and housing insecure youth for life success by providing access to educational, emotional, and other support services. We at Knickers or Nothin' are very excited to team up with IH for the 2020 year, and can't wait to see what good things they have in store!
ANN EISEMAN INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND
At times we are able to donate to one-off causes and this one was near and dear to our hearts. Our co-founder Matthew Paresky, who's son Solomon was born with spina bifida, has had a hard time finding a playground accesible for his wheelchair. KNICKERS or NOTHIN' stepped up and donated to the Ann Eiseman Inclusive Playground right in Solomon's hometown of Richardson. Solomon, along with many other kids are now able to enjoy this playground for many years to come!
